Strata Management

It is very common for Stratas to hire a property management company to provide strata management services. It is important that those services are property funded through the budget and that there is a thorough and thoughtful process to select the property management company.

Owners have a robust right to access the records of a Strata. However, that right is easily frustrated and the most reasonable remedy often involves the exercise of democracy instead of formal dispute processes.

Except in very limited circumstances, the Council is responsible for strata management. It is important that the Council understand that delegation of their authority does not remove responsibility.
