ABOUT
Andrew Arnold is a Paralegal at Morley Hanson Law Corporation. He specializes in Advising Strata Councils and is a graduate of UBC Sauder School of Business Strata Management Course.
Prior to joining Morley Hanson, Andrew worked in the Property Management Industry for over a decade, most recently as a Strata Property Manager for 7 years. During this time, he participated in hundreds of hours of Council Meetings and General Meetings. His experience includes working with and advising Councils during difficult Repair Projects, Budgeting, Hiring Service Providers and proposing Bylaw Revisions and special Levy Resolutions. He has researched and drafted an uncounted number of Budgets, produced Notice of Meetings for General Meetings and Drafted Minutes. He is familiar with the dynamics involved when a Strata must deal with difficult Owners and Tenants.
Andrew is frequently the first point of contact for clients, and enjoys working with Councils to identify the related tensions and discuss possible solutions. Andrew has well developed Problem Solving, Leadership and Conflict Resolution Skills and is known for his Professionalism, Detailed Systems Organization, and ability to Facilitate Productive Dialogue.
Andrew decided to move from his role as a Strata Property Manager to be a Paralegal with Morley Hanson because he wanted to be able to participate in the provision of Legal Advice and the Resolution of Disputes.
Andrew is a key member of the team supporting Self-Managed Stratas. In this role, he provides services that he mastered as a Strata Property Manager and has improved as a Paralegal, including Drafting Agendas, Attending Meetings, and Preparing Minutes.
In addition to his commitment to assisting Stratas as a Paralegal, Andrew is involved in Theatre. He has performed in several stage productions and was involved in all aspects of community theatre. He has won awards for his performances in Musical Theatre and has worked in Film both as an actor and crew. He was selected as a scholarship recipient of the DESHM (Developing Eco Sensitive Hospitality Managers) exchange program, where he was fortunate to study and work in Waikiki on the island of Oahu, Hawaii.
